Families
Together, Inc. (FTI)
will provide family support services that are intended to
meet the comprehensive mental health and/or case management
needs of children, families and independent adults. If you are interested in having FTI build programs in your area (anywhere in the Southeast) then please email Dan Zorn at dzorn@familiestogether.net
Services
can include:
Comprehensive Clinical Assessments: Our
Clinical Psychologists, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and/or Psychiatrists
will meet with parents, their children and/or
adults in an effort to accurately
diagnosis what the areas of concern are. Based on this assessment
we will recommend an appropriate course of action, including
what medication (when necessary) should be utilized. Other comprehensive evaluation tools will be utilized as needed, for example our Diagnostic Assessments.
Child & Family Services:
Community Support:
Our Family
Service Coordinator (FSC) will work directly with the child
and family in their naturally occurring setting (home,
school, and community) on functional events that occur in
those settings. Coordinators
who work directly with consumers will provide First Responder
services if there is a crisis in the community.
Intensive In-Home:
Our clinical teams, who are comprised of a Licensed Clinician,
Family Service Coordinator and Associate Professional will
partner with Parents in an effort to support homes with very
challenging issues. This private service is designed to strengthen
family functioning and sustainability. Our team is on-call
24/7 to address needs that arise from any family member.
Mobile Crisis Management:
If there is a mental health emergency that can be served by
professionals with training is crisis support, then our teams
may be called on. We can come on site. We will work to diffuse
the mental health emergency and also attempt to avoid having
any family member placed in psychiatric inpatient treatment.
If placement is necessary we will support the family members
through the entire process. Crisis staff will coordinate with,
and defer to, law enforcement and/or rescue personnel when
appropriate. This service is only available for children and
families.
Integrated Care-School Health Centers:
The Buncombe County Health Center Behavioral Health Program
in the Student Health Centers is a hybrid, integrated model
that integrates with the medical services and school support
staff to help meet the emotional, physical, and educational
needs of the students. Families Together licensed therapists
partner with medical and school personnel to form a unique
service support structure.
Day Treatment Services: Our licensed and accredited Day Treatment Programs are a collaborative effort between Families Together Inc. and the Buncombe County School System which strives to provide intensive mental health services in a public school setting. The programs focus on integrating students back into their mainstream setting and to prevent out of home placement, by assisting students in developing behavior management skills, social skills, and strategies to help students achieve social, behavioral and academic success.
Adult Services:
Community Support: Our Family
Service Coordinator (FSC) will work directly with the adult in their naturally occurring setting (home,
school, and community) on functional events that occur in
those settings. Coordinators
who work directly with consumers will provide First Responder
services if there is a crisis in the community.
Community Alternatives Program--Disabled
Adults (CAP-DA):
These innovative case management services provide alternatives
to nursing facility care for persons who are 18 and older
and who live in a private residence. CAP-DA participants must
meet all Medicaid eligibility requirements. CAP personnel
have specialized training backed by medical integration and
assessment.
Community Support Team (CST): Launching in summer of 2007!
Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT): Launching in the winter of 2008!

Consultation:
We can provide training and support to private or public agencies
working through the challenges of Mental Health Reform and/or
Human Services start-up. We have unique, cost-effective policies
and electronic technologies.
On the policy side for example we maintain a very strong internal culture that discourages harmful gossip and encourages individual and team performance. On the technology end, one very good example is our remarkable, user-friendly Service Note-to-Billing electronic software called eNotes, that makes life much simpler for
direct service personnel and administrators.
Soon we will be unrolling our state-of-the-art IT network. This system will tie in all of our sites and personnel and will illustrate our Tele-Medicine capabilities.
