Admission Criteria & Process

To make a referral, please call Families Together Inc. Central Intake at 828-258-0031.

Request a Comprehensive Clinical Assessment with us and you will receive an appointment that meets your needs. We can usually see you within 48 hours. In emergencies we can meet with you immediately. We can come onsite for the assessment.

At this time we serve consumers with Medicaid, Health Choice, State Funds (IPRS) and some Private Insurances (Outpatient Therapy only).

Service are designed for children or adults who meet criteria for mental health services. All services must be authorized by either Value Options or our Local Management Entity for one or more of the following: Comprehensive Clinical Assessment (including a Diagnostic Assessment if needed), Community Support-Child or Adult, Intensive In-Home, Day Treatment or Mobile Crisis. Families Together is fully endorsed to provide these services.

Locations: Families Together, Inc. has sites throughout Western North Carolina. Please ask our Central Intake Director about which site will best meet your needs.

Length of Service:

All service will last as long as deemed medically necessary. However typcial lenghts of service;

Community Support: 3-9 months

Intensive In-Home: 3-6 months

Day Treatment: 3-6 months

Mobile Crisis Service: 3-5 hours
